Posted on Monday, March 31, 2014

The team from Projekta have made an inspired video showing the world just how much fun the being a part of The Sydney Skinny is.

We would like to say a huge thanks to the Projekta team for their time, passion and commitment to telling the Sydney Skinny story. We look forward to the entire team from Projekta putting their cameras down and joining us for a swim in 2015.

Are you joining The Sydney Skinny in 2014?

Posted on Monday, November 25, 2013

How is 2013 treating you? We hope you have had a wonderful year fulfilling the hopes and aspirations you had for your 2013.

Do you know you are a part of an exceptional group of people – the inaugural Sydney Skinny fans. In 2013 we set a world record, raised more than $11,000 for charity and had a wonderful time doing so…

We think you are so special that we want to share our plans for The Sydney Skinny 2014 with you – first, before we let the rest of the world know.

So get your diary, phone, calendar… whatever you use to plan your life, here are the details:

Sunday 23rd February 2014, Cobblers Beach, Sydney.

So what are we planning for 2014???

  • Designated swim waves – so you can pick what time you swim, enjoy the festival area for longer and plan for your day better.
  •
  • Two swims to choose from – The Sydney Skinny (900m) or do a shortened version of the course we are calling the nudie novice, a 300m swim check out the course
  •
  • Organised National Parks & Wildlife activities and some wonderful art installations….
  •
  • Sydney Skinny sarongs are back ensuring everyone will walk away with their own Sydney Skinny memento!
  •
  • The festival area is open to everyone for free – so you can bring your supporters along and enjoy the festival area with them. If your supporters change their mind on the day, like many did, they can purchase a ticket to swim at the event…
  • No spectators: no swim wrist band = no beach, until the final swim wave is finished.

The people who made last year’s Sydney Skinny possible are back too… that’s right, our friends from nudie are once again our fabulous presenting partner, enabling us to celebrate The Sydney Skinny and what it is to be a part of.

Here’s a message from the wonderful nudie friends:

Last year we presented the Sydney Skinny where more than 750 wonderful people stripped off their cossies for a world-first 900m nudie swim.

And guess what… we are about to do it all again next year! As an exclusive offer (before tickets go on sale to the public) we would like to invite you back for 2014.

Fun? Tick. Freedom? Tick. Feel-good? Ginormous tick! That’s why we’re sponsoring the event again and would love for you to be involved too!

Simply click on the link to pre-register. Looking forward to seeing you there! Peace, love & nudie.

Public entries will open on 5/12/13

Get in quick so you can secure the swim time you want!  Go to The Sydney Skinny Entries – Online page or click here

We would love you to celebrate your entry into The 2014 Sydney Skinny by raising money for Foundation for National Parks and Wildlife. They are the only organisation in Australia whose philanthropy is an investment in our public estate, our unique species, and our cultural heritage – for all to enjoy.

Your fundraising efforts go towards much needed infrastructure in and around Sydney Harbour National Park and also many other important National Parks initiatives.

We hope to see you all again in 2014 to create a truly exhilarating and uplifting event!

Welcome to the Sydney Skinny

Posted on Tuesday, November 06, 2012

We are excited and thankful to have received such incredible enthusiasm for The Sydney Skinny’s recent launch. With so many people wanting to be a part of this event we have found some people have come across a couple of issues that we want to help you with.

To register we recommend you go to the “Entries” page as the “Enter Now” button is not working for some internet browsers.

On the home page you will see an “Entries” tab and the drop down with give you the option of “participant”, “supporter” or “donation”.  Select which one you want and this will then take you through to a page which has some event information and an “Add to Cart” button. When you scroll your cursor over the “Add to Cart” button, you will notice it doesn’t change to a little hand, like most website links do…. but the “Add to Cart” button does work. Click on the “Add to Cart” button once and it will add your item to a shopping cart.

You then need to go to the top of the website and “View Cart” to “Check Out” and finalise entering your details for the swim. We are using PayPal to process all payments securely. You do not need a PayPal account to enter the swim, however if you have used a PayPal account previously it will recognise your email address and require you to log in. So put in your payment details, don’t forget to make sure all boxes are filled in (the state/territory box is catching some out) and then your purchase will be confirmed.

If you have forgotten your Paypal account details – don’t worry you can reset your password with them by selecting the forgotten password option. Your email address will be sent a re-set password link and then you can confirm your payment.

If you have any issues please go to the “Contact Us” page or email us directly at [email protected] and we will answer all your questions to ensure you can be a part of the inaugural Sydney Skinny 2013!

We will happily accept phone calls to assist people register into the swim. For phone assistance, please contact Stephen Ford on 0417 470 529.

We will continue to work on fixing these issues and we thank you for your patience.

Many thanks!

The Team at The Sydney Skinny
