The Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife

Sydney Skinny Ocean Swim

Sydney SkinnyThe Sydney Skinny is a positive, kind and fun events planned for early 2013. On one level, it’s a cheeky, large-scale skinny dip in Sydney’s Middle Head harbour to raise funds for the Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife. However, as you look deeper, this event is much more than just getting your gear off for a good cause.

This is an annual opportunity to throw aside concerns of body image, to connect with nature and celebrate as a community. It’s also a beautiful chance to use the cleansing power of water to re-dedicate your next year to living with more kindness and courage. Please note, nudity is encouraged (during the swim only), but it’s not compulsory.

The Sydney Skinny has chosen Middle Head so they can help us develop the beautiful Middle Headland through raising money for a walkway project. The Sydney Skinny will be a fully ticketed event as we aim to help the Foundation raise funds towards a walkway and completing an upgrade project within Sydney Harbour National Park
